“Planting Seagrass, Dugongs Conservation, Trang Sea Revival” project was organized under “Changes for the Better” concept as the company recognized the importance of natural resources and  eco-system of Thai sea which is the habitat of economic aquatic animals and income generating source for the coastal communities particularly “sea grass” which play an important role in the ecology system.  Dugongs, one of the endangered species of reserved sea animals in Thailand, feed only on sea grass.
The company in cooperation with the local governmental agencies, Pak Meng Community volunteers, cyclists and representatives from Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus, staff and management of Mitsubishi Electric Kang Yong Watana, Nation TV and Tourism Authority of Thailand organized the activity to plant over 1,000 sea grasses with the following objectives:
  • To cultivate the social responsibility conscience towards sea grass and endangered sea animals preservation
  • To create the balance of ecology system for the habitat and natural feed source for sea animals
  • To create the network for community and tourists and develop the guideline in sustainably taking care of the local sea ecology system
